Community Based Programs
Build a stronger community through youth mentorships
Our community-based mentoring program matches individuals, couples and families with children in need of a supportive relationship to minimize isolation and prevent or reduce at-risk behaviors.
Mentoring Matters
Mentors make a one-year commitment to the program, however many mentors commit more time.
Quality Time
Mentors spend at least four hours a month with their child. Many mentors report that the rewards often surpass their investment of time. They find including the kids in what they were already planning to do takes a minimal amount of additional time from their weekly schedule.
Local Support
Children live in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville or Rosemount. They are referred to our program by their parents, social worker or health care professional.

I’ve become more aware and empathetic to the stresses that many families in our community face. Spending time with my mentee has also helped me try new activities and find fun things to do in my community that I wouldn’t have otherwise done.
