This match is celebrating their first year anniversary! Our last year getting to know our mentee has been busy and fun! We have gotten to know what he likes and doesn’t like and have even gotten better at navigating situations that previously had been difficult (for him and for us!). He has tried new things/foods and we have enjoyed hearing about his interests on our Tuesday dinners. We’ve learned that certain events with loud noises and crowds are not his thing but that he also enjoys some activities he doesn’t typically do like swimming or going to car shows and carnivals (with scary rides!). We have really enjoyed the time we’ve spent with him and look forward to another summer of fun memories!
