We love to get out and do things with our match, Navarus. Sometimes we do things that we would do anyway, like go to the Minnesota State Fair, take a bike ride, or go for a walk in Lebanon Hills park. When Navarus is with us, he notices things that we might otherwise miss. He notices tiny toads on the path, or a pileated woodpecker in a nest, for example. He is excited about nature and about science, and he revitalizes these subjects for us.
Sometimes we go to places with Navarus that we probably would not go by ourselves, like the Science Museum, roller blading at Skateville, the Children’s Theater, the Car Show, or the Juneteenth celebration at Dodge Nature Center. Getting together with Navarus prompts us to try new things, or get out and do things we have not done in a while.
Many times, we have a quiet time together, hanging out at our house, making a meal, baking, or doing puzzles. We have noticed that Navarus talks more than he did in the early days, because we are all more comfortable together. The structure of spending weekly time together has helped us to be good friends. We are grateful to Kids and Kinship for bringing us together with Navarus.
