Celebrating 3 YEARS!
Three years goes by in a blur, but it’s this year when Khasiem is turning into a teenager alongside our two older kids that I’ve started to appreciate the longevity of our match. One day we picked Khasiem up, and we’d been on vacation and hadn’t seen him for a few weeks, and all the sudden he wasn’t a little kid anymore. He looked grown up and he was in the back of our car good-naturedly arguing among our kids about music and connecting with our tween-aged son about basketball, something that he and Khasiem realized they had a shared love for years into their relationship. It’s these moments that we feel grateful not only for the connection with Khasiem, but the opportunity to have it over time and watch how he grows and how his relationship with our kids evolves as they all grow up together.
