Reflecting on the journey from first grade to now, I’m filled with gratitude for Cheryl and Jeff’s unwavering support and guidance. Their mentorship has been a constant source of strength and inspiration, shaping not only my academic and personal growth, but also my outlook on life. From navigating the challenges of elementary school to embracing the opportunities of college, Cheryl has been there every step of the way, offering wisdom, encouragement, and a listening ear.
The memories we’ve created together are truly priceless. Whether it’s our leisurely nature walks, where we’ve shared laughter and deep conversations amidst the beauty of the outdoors, or our cozy lunches filled with delicious food and heartwarming conversation, each moment holds a special place in my heart. Our crafting sessions, where creativity knows no bounds, and our treasured outings to Circus Juventas, where we’ve marveled at the inspiring performances, are memories I’ll cherish forever.
Even beyond our in-person interactions, Cheryl’s weekly check-ins and the thoughtfully curated articles she sends have been a constant reminder of her dedication and care. These gestures of kindness have not only provided valuable insights but have also strengthened our connection, bridging the physical distance between us.
As we celebrate this milestone, I’m reminded of the wonderful impact Kids ‘n Kinship has had on my life. The organization’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections and providing unwavering support has been the foundation of our journey together. Here’s to many more years of friendship, growth, and shared experiences.
My Best,
Ny’eishiea Mathis
